The UK's Seafish Industry Authority has developed a set of criteria for responsible fishing to be applied at fishing vessel level. This scheme covers crew training, environmental awareness, including boat-level policies for cetacean and bird bycatch, responsible gear setting and use as well as promoting good practise on board.
